With 20 years of incremental development, today, Sandcontrol Office has welcomed its 2022 iteration.
Sandcontrol Office, as an industrial software, is designed and upgraded by PSCCL team over years. The software focuses on sand production problem of different types of oil and gas reservoir. Rock strength analysis, simulation and prediction of sand production, sand control (and frac-pack) design and its evaluation, productivity prediction etc., over 10 main functions are embedded into software, enabling software to execute well completion design and solid (stratum sand and proppant) management.
The 2022 version upgrade includes as follows:
(1) Microscopic/particle scale sand production simulation: dynamic visualization of sand production behavior of wellbore on time scale, prediction of quantity of stratum sands potentially produced.
(2) Simulation on multi-production layer gravel packing (outside wellbore) with chemical stabilizer and its injection parameters design: coupled with dynamic visualization of sand production behavior, presents visualized designing result of gravel packing with chemical stabilizer.
(3) Frack-pack simulation and design for sandstone reservoir: fracture propagation simulation in consideration with sandstone property, injection parameter design and work evaluation (productivity-wise).
(4) Compatibility enhancement of gravel packing design and simulation module: inclusion of open-hole well, perforated well, deviated or horizontal well, faster calculation of packing parameter set and effectiveness.
