Laboratory Has Finished Solid Control Experiment System Upgrade

    In 2022, Production and Sand Control Completion Laboratory (PSCCL) has upgraded 2 sets of previous devices and added 3 sets of new devices. 

   The upgraded devices are "Large Scale Sand-Water Heterogeneous Production and Well Production/Completion Comprehensive Simulation Device" and "Underground Gas Storage/Injection Well/Geothermal Well Sand Production and Control Simulation Device". 

   The new added devices are "Fractured Reservoir Solid Control Simulation Device" and "Sandstone Reservoir Hydraulic Fracturing Simulation Device" and "Offshore Gravel Packing Tool (Tube) Erosion Evaluation Device".

Upgraded device1: Large Scale Sand-Water Heterogeneous Production and Well Production/Completion Comprehensive Simulation Device (Patent Number: ZL202010233182.2)

   The main capacities include simulation of sand-water heterogeneous production of horizontal well and changing behavior of wellbore skeleton profile, simulation of outside/inside gravel packing procedure of the horizontal well, performance evaluation of sand screen. The length of simulated wellbore reaches 10 meters.  

 

Upgraded device2: Underground Gas Storage/Injection Well/Geothermal Well Sand Production and Control Simulation Device

    The device is able to simulate sand production during injection and production process the well. 



New device1: Fractured Reservoir Solid Control Simulation Device

    The device is able to simulate stratum and proppant production of fractured reservoir and stratum sand plugging process of fracture.



New device2: Sandstone Reservoir Hydraulic Fracturing Simulation Device

    The device is able to simulate fracturing process of sandstone reservoir rock, of which the size can be 20¡Á20¡Á20cm. The triaxial stress can reach 30MPa.


 New device3: Offshore Gravel Packing Tool(Tube) Erosion Evaluation Device

    The device is able to simulate gravel-fluid flow inside the gravel packing tool and evaluate its erosion. 


 

    Today, laboratory has developed more integrated experiment system to support the study on sand production and control, well productivity optimization and safety evaluation, owns 20 or so sets of devices, the whole scale reaches 300m2.
