The school recently received a letter of appreciation from China National Petroleum Corporation Qinghai Oilfield Company, thanking the school for its numerous innovative efforts and technical support in scientific research, talent cultivation, and academic exchanges. The letter specifically commended Professor Dong Changyin and his team from the Flow-Solid Control and Well Completion Laboratory for their significant contributions to the collaborative project on "Optimization and Supporting Technology for Sand Control in the Mid-to-Late Stage of Sebei Loose Sandstone Gas Reservoir." The team's deep expertise and extensive practical experience greatly supported the project, particularly in describing and characterizing sand production patterns near the wellbore and conducting sand control technology experiments, which facilitated the iterative upgrade of development technologies for the loose sandstone gas reservoirs in Qinghai Oilfield.
Professor Dong Changyin’s team has long been dedicated to predicting sand and water production in various types of oil and gas reservoirs, as well as researching and applying sand and water control and flow-solid management technologies. They have participated in major Phase I and Phase II oil and gas projects in the Qaidam Basin of Qinghai Oilfield and undertaken over ten research projects in sand control for oil and gas reservoirs such as Yuejin, Sebei, and Nanbaxian. Their work has provided strong technical support for controlling sand production and efficiently developing sand-prone oil and gas reservoirs in Qinghai Oilfield.
